About Banko Yaki
Based in Mie Prefecture, banko yaki is a traditional ceramic art style entrenched in Japanese culture. Since their creation in the 18th century, banko yaki ceramics offer unique heat resistance and beautiful but practical compositions in muted, earthen colors. These pieces continue to honor an ancient technique in the modern world by reshaping the past to fit the needs of the present.
